About

I am an experienced cultural mediator and curator with a background in art history and a focus on applying my skills to establish, explore and promote new relationships between pop culture, new-media art and videogames. Educated with a degree in art history and a masters in cultural mediation from the Ecole du Louvre, my knowledge and capabilities allow me to build bridges between cutting edge research and more practice-based approaches to art projects. I have organised exhibitions at the crossroads of videogames, AI art and robotics.

The most recent exhibition I organised was installed at the Eden Project in Cornwall and entitled “Artificial Creators”, covering nature-inspired AI art projects. The exhibition attracted more than 50,000 visitors over the summer of 2019 and the visitor feedback was incredibly supportive. I have also organised two exhibitions specifically showcasing videogames and their relationships with visual arts and the performing arts.

I lived in Paris for over nine years, first studying and then working in several cultural institutions and museums, including at the Institute des Cultures d’Islam, as manager of the mediation and pedagogy department. During my time in Paris, I was also president of one educational NGO and sat on the board as treasurer for another. After that, I worked for four years in the UK university sector, at Falmouth University and Goldsmiths College. I took on projects spanning research, event planning and coordination, curating exhibitions, designing and executing educational projects, managing budgets and fundraising. I was also strongly involved in several successful EU-funded projects during my time in the sector. I recently moved to Spain.

Creating compelling exhibitions that engage with the public by having the visitor’s experience in mind is at the core of what I do. An enthralling show should reflect the diversity of our society and offer something to everyone. Exhibitions featuring technological works have it’s very own challenges and specificities but tell us the story of our times with the medium of the present.
